We recognize that shipping cost is a major factor in the decision to purchase a mortar rack. We reduce shipping cost by replacing 1/2" plywood and OSB (wafer board) with 7-ply 3/8" Baltic Birch plywood in the Mega Rack. This cabinet grade plywood is 15% lighter and 50% stronger than regular plywood. (Yes, we tested these materials). The end plates are also made with Baltic Birch plywood.	Another design factor that reduces weight and increases strength is our single piece angled base. Both sides are cut to 15 degree angles from one piece of quality pine lumber.
Spread-Out Mega rack The Longacre Launchers Mega Rack is a purpose built 18 shot angled rack. 6 shots straight up and 6 on each side angled at 15 degrees. Each rack includes 18 DR11 12" long, 1.91" ID mortar tubes. The wide base is stable enough that it doesn't require a bottom plate for support. Although it is 10 lbs. lighter than a typical 18 shot rack and looks lightweight, it has been rigorously tested to extreme conditions. It will stand up to any consumer shell. Even a catastrophic failure of those shells will not damage the rack. If you drive your truck over it --- it's toast, but you get the idea!
